Prevention Is Better Than Cure
Jeddah – Consulate General of India in collaboration with Indian Doctors Medical Forum (IDMF) Organised a Breast Cancer Awareness Program on 22nd Oct.2025 in International Indian School Girls’s Section Auditorium to mark the breast cancer awareness month. The program was an initiative taken by the Counsul General of India His Excellency Mr. Fahad Ahmad Khan Suri to educate young minds and ladies of the community about women’s health. The program was supported by IDMF President Dr. Ashfaq Maniyar , Vice President Dr. Revathy & Gen. Sec. Dr. Mohammed Abdul Saleem
Mrs. Fehmima Khan Suri was the Chief Guest of the day whose presence acknowledged the support to the noble cause and Dr. Revathy – Vice President of IDMF was the Key note Speaker.
The Welcome address was given by Mrs Farahadunnisa, the Vice Principal, GS. Flowers express a feeling of respect & gratitude so Madam Fehmima Khan Suri , Madam Abida Khatoon & Dr. Revathy were felicitated with beautiful bouquets.
Dr. Revathy gave a very informative & illuminating Session for the young girls of IX-XII GS. Instructional exercises were displayed to the students to diagnose Cancer. The girls were educated by the guidelines provided by the session regarding preventive measures to be taken by young women.
The Program also showcased a Skit and a Song related to the subject. Followed by a Q & Ans session. Students asked their doubts related to the topic.
The Audience was also graced by members of CGI & IDMF.
The Program was highly knowledgeable and useful for the students as it provided them to ponder over the health issues. As the saying goes ‘Prevention is always better than Cure’, It gave an insight into the deadly disease, its prevention & cure. The program ended with Vote of thanks proposed by Mrs. Sadiqa Tarannum, HM IX-XII GS.
