Jeddah – The corridors of the International Indian School Jeddah (IISJ) buzzed with excitement as distinguished alumni returned to their alma mater to engage with the current batch of 12th-grade students. The event, held in the IISJ Boys school auditorium, was a vibrant blend of nostalgia, mentorship, and forward-looking guidance.

With a mix of humor, humility, and heartfelt storytelling, the alumni captivated the audience by sharing their diverse career paths—from medicine and engineering to entrepreneurship and the arts. Their anecdotes, drawn from real-life challenges and triumphs, offered students a rare glimpse into the world beyond textbooks.
These stories resonated deeply with students, many of whom are on the cusp of making pivotal life decisions.



Career Guidance Rooted in Experience
Alumni emphasized the importance of self-awareness, adaptability, and continuous learning. They encouraged students to explore fields aligned with their passions while remaining open to unexpected opportunities.
Interactive Q&A segments allowed students to seek advice clarity. The alumni also highlighted the value of internships, networking, and skill-building in shaping successful careers.

What set this event apart was the authenticity of the experiences shared. Mr.Asim Zeeshan General Manager Marketing, Abdul Lateef Jameel Co, said Marketing isn’t just about selling products—it’s about understanding people.
Dr.Khaja Yaminuddin Diabetes Care Specialist and a Motivational Speaker blended with the 12th graders in their own style and shared real life experiences of how compassion, empathy, affection makes the difference and gave a take home message,’ Don’t Chase Titles –Chase Impact.’
Mr. Ahmed Zamiruddin Category Head Gul West Company Ltd emphasized upon the fact that Success isn’t a straight line. It’s a zigzag of risks, failures, and breakthroughs.
Mr. Fadil Ahmed Palayatt shared with the audience the Vision Board and how spending 20 minutes every morning on this can shape careers.
Mr. Yasin Al Sayed, Director of Curriculum, CTO, Pennant Education gave an insight into cyber security courses and how can the digital world be safer?
The session concluded with a round of applause and heartfelt thanks from the students and faculty. IISJ Principal Dr.Mohammed Imran praised the alumni for their continued commitment to the school community, noting that such interactions play a crucial role in shaping informed, confident graduates.
The Career Guidance Alumni Session at IISJ was further elevated by the gracious presence of the Vice Principal of the Girls Section Ms. Farah Masood and the Vice Principal of the Boys Section, Mr. Syed Abdul Haq whose support underscored the school’s commitment to student development. Headmasters from various academic blocks also attended.
The Career Guidance Alumni Event was the brainchild of Career Guidance Cell Boys Section, spearheaded by Ms.Safa, Commerce department, a dedicated IISJ faculty member and proud alumna of the school. Her unique perspective as both educator and former student inspired the initiative, bridging generations and creating a platform where experience met aspiration.
